2026 CWA Passenger Services Airline Convention

08/24/2026-08/27/2026

Las Vegas, NV

What I learned from the Passenger Services Convening is that **our union is only as strong as the members who participate in it.** The biggest lessons were the importance of education—knowing our contract, our rights, and how our union works; **organization**—developing stewards, workplace leaders, and members who are willing to step up; **mobilization**—understanding that collective action is how we create pressure and protect our gains; and **solidarity**—recognizing that an issue affecting one member, station, or local can ultimately affect all of us. We also need to be prepared for the changes happening in our workplaces, particularly AI and automation, and make sure those changes don't happen without our voice at the table.

So, **what does that mean for us here at our membership meeting?** We need to identify members who want to get involved, strengthen our steward structure, make sure members understand our contract and the grievance process, and start having more one-on-one conversations about the issues affecting us. We also need to identify people willing to help with mobilization and organizing. **The convening gave us the tools and the information; now we have to put them to work.** If we want a stronger voice, better representation, and a stronger future for Passenger Services, it starts with what each of us is willing to do when we leave this room.
